I hold a PhD in Philosophical Sciences from Sapienza University, a classical high school diploma, and represented the Abruzzo Region at the "National Olympics of Classical Languages and Civilizations" (MIUR), in the Greek section (2015/6) and Latin section (2014/5). For seven years, I have been sharing my passion and experience in the translation and study of Greek and Latin grammar and literature with high school students. My approach is text-centered grammatical study: strengthening grammatical foundations is integrated with translation and understanding of the analyzed text, which must be placed within the overall context of the author's work. This approach stems from the belief that a "dead" language, while still being such and therefore needing to be "dissected" and analyzed as appropriate, is "a historical body that continually recomposes itself into life." For this very reason, the traditionally frontal approach will seek, by exploiting the medium of the text, to be as horizontal and bidirectional as possible, so as not to sacrifice the student's motivational aspects to the rigor of the study.
