Hi! I’m Arianna, I’m Italian, I have a degree in Tourism Management, and I lived in Flanders, Belgium, for ten years. My journey with Dutch started just like that of many of my students: as a foreigner! I learned the language through a linguistic and cultural integration programme in Bruges and, most importantly, by using Dutch in everyday life. That’s why I understand the challenges of learning Dutch: a pronunciation that may seem impossible at first, unfamiliar grammar rules, the fear of making mistakes, or that frustrating moment when you know the answer… but the words just won’t come out! 😊 And that’s exactly the experience I bring to my lessons. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method. Before we start, I want to get to know you, your goals and your reasons for learning Dutch. From there, we’ll build a learning path tailored to your needs. During our lessons, we can work on conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening comprehension, always focusing on practical Dutch that you can actually use in real-life situations. I also enjoy creating personalised and interactive learning materials, including exercises, visual activities, guided conversations and content based on your own interests. I believe learning a language becomes much more effective when you can connect with what you are studying. And, of course, our lessons won’t be just about grammar! After ten years of living in Flanders, I can also introduce you to everyday Dutch, commonly used expressions and Flemish culture, as well as share practical tips if you are planning to move to Belgium or have recently started a new life there. My lessons are especially suitable for adults and beginners looking for a relaxed and friendly environment where they can learn, ask questions and, most importantly, feel comfortable making mistakes. My goal?
